Do you work on historic properties?
Yes. Our team brings extensive experience working with historic properties and preservation-sensitive projects. Co-Founder James McDonald, a historical carpenter with more than 30 years of professional experience, has worked on complex historic properties, including serving as a lead on the team responsible for roofing work at Thomas Jefferson’s Monticello.
What types of properties do you work on?

Do you provide permitting and project coordination?
Yes. Depending on the project, our services can include estimating, permitting coordination, scheduling, procurement, subcontractor coordination, inspections, and other project-management support.
Are workforce-development opportunities available?
Yes. BUILD’N CREATE is committed to creating hands-on learning, career exposure, mentorship, and skilled-trades development opportunities. Opportunities may be available through workforce-development partnerships, community organizations, educational programs, or direct opportunities developed by BUILD’N CREATE. Availability and participation requirements may vary based on the program, project, and individual opportunity.
Does BUILD’N CREATE partner with workforce-development organizations?
Yes. BUILD’N CREATE works to develop work-based learning and workforce-development partnerships that connect participants with hands-on construction experience, career exposure, mentorship, and foundational skilled-trades skills. Opportunities are developed in collaboration with workforce-development, youth-development, education, and community organizations.

Yes. Our commercial capabilities include build-outs, workspace improvements, modular office installation, property improvements, project coordination, and hospitality FF&E installation, deinstallation, and removal.
